Energy-efficient load balancing ant based routing algorithm for wireless sensor networks

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are self-organizing networks with limited energy and communication capacity, making energy-efficient routing essential for extending network lifetime. The proposed Energy-Efficient Load Balancing Ant-based Routing Algorithm (EBAR) improves energy balance and reduces control overhead through pseudo-random route discovery, enhanced pheromone updates, a greedy energy-cost heuristic, and an energy-based opportunistic broadcast scheme.
